
Kirby Bartlett, MBA, is an Operating Partner and the Chief Administrative Officer at Bay City Capital and has been with the firm since its formation in June 1997. Mr. Bartlett is responsible for a variety of administrative, operating, and investing activities. He has been involved in numerous investments, including key roles with Chemdex, Lexicon, and Epocrates, and in various strategic financings and partnerships for portfolio companies such as Reliant Pharmaceuticals, Intarcia, and OmegaTech. Mr. Bartlett currently participates as an observer on the Boards of Directors of Epocrates and Panomics. Previously, he worked for Burrill & Craves where he advised in transactions with Baxter, W. R. Grace, and Eli Lilly. Mr. Bartlett also worked at BAbCO (acquired by Covance) for six years where he managed a majority of its contract research services. Mr. Bartlett graduated first in his class in the MBA program at the University of San Francisco, and holds a BA in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
